The 91st Annual Meeting of The Society of Rheology will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina on October 20-24, 2019; with the optional short course and Rheology Research Symposium (RRS) occuring on October 19th and 20th. The technical program will take place at the Raleigh Convention Center in the heart of downtown Raleigh, a large 500,000 square-foot facility that features stunning window views of downtown. The short course and RRS will be held at the Raleigh Marriott City Center next door.
The Monday evening reception will take place at the North Carolina Museum of Art, while the banquet and other receptions will be hosted at the Convention Center. With the Red Hat Amphitheater and the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts only a few minutes by foot from the Convention Center, visitors will be able to enjoy restaurants, concerts, and theater performances all within a three-block stretch. For the more adventurous meeting goers, they can take a trip after the meeting to see the fall colors at the Blue Ridge Mountains!
